United States Department of Energy

Analysis & Outreach

Part of DOE's mission is to ensure its stakeholders are active in defining, and re-defining, what it does. To that effect, it works closely with state and local governments-hosting conferences, preparing briefs, analyzing state or local plans, and developing tools to ensure a process that is both fluid and effective. Below are some of its and others' results.

DOE/NASEO/NCSL Energy Outlook Conferences

Twice a year, DOE, the National Association of State Energy Officials, and/or the National Conference of State Legislatures host an energy conference. At both events, the purpose is to identify concerns in near-future fuel usage. Speakers include representatives of both industry and government.
